Taking place from 16th to 22nd February 2026, the Lunar New Year programme brings family and friends together in the spirit of renewal, abundance, and connection. Rooted in meaningful rituals and communal dining, the celebrations reflect the essence of the Lunar New Year while embracing Centara Reserve Samui's signature approach to modern, story-driven hospitality.
At the heart of the festivities is the Lunar New Year's Eve Dinner Buffet, hosted at Act 5 - The Grill on Monday, 16th February 2026. Designed as a feast to be shared, the experience begins with a Yu Sheng set served to each table, inviting guests to take part in the traditional toss that symbolises prosperity, success, and good fortune for the year ahead.

The evening continues with an expansive buffet featuring chilled seafood on ice, live cooking stations, and a generous selection of Chinese-inspired and international dishes. Highlights include longevity noodles prepared live, roasted pig with crisp skin, Hainan chicken, and a variety of main courses created to be enjoyed communally. A selection of festive desserts, tropical fruits, and a live mango sticky rice station offers a sweet conclusion to the celebration.
Priced at THB 2,900++ per person, the Lunar New Year's Eve Dinner Buffet offers a meaningful way to gather, celebrate, and welcome new beginnings in an atmosphere of understated elegance.
Continuing the celebrations, guests may also experience a traditional Dragon & Lion Dance performance during breakfast on Wednesday, 18th February 2026 from 09:00 – 09:30 hrs. at The Terrace. A cherished Lunar New Year ritual, the performance symbolises prosperity, good fortune, and positive energy for the year ahead.
The festivities culminate on Sunday, 22nd February 2026, with the Lunar New Year Brunch at Salt Society Beach Bar & Kitchen. Featuring festive highlights such as whole roasted pig, oven-roasted duck, crab meat fried rice, crispy fried prawns, and eight treasure sticky rice cake, the brunch is complemented by live DJ and trio band performances, a Dragon & Lion Dance from 13:00 – 13:30 hrs., and the appearance of the God of Fortune distributing golden chocolate nuggets as symbols of luck and prosperity.
